Musicians community and
international educational program

International camp for musicians and bands managers.
50 participants who have never met before dive into a simulated music industry model for one week.

Tutors will form new temporary bands which will create absolutely new music under the guidance of experienced coaches from Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Austria, and Spain.

Management department students will immerse themselves in the music business model and will start working on real music projects.

Tutor of the main program participants
Stefan has been playing music for more than two decades; he is constantly touring with several bands throughout the year. At the Camp he's working as a band coach and drum teacher, but also as the program director. He will be responsible for the overall program of the Camp and also leading the coaches team since the beginning of UMC in 2018. As a musician and business coach he developed a concept connecting the fields of creativity, team work and pop music in his Master Thesis. His knowledge about creativity, studio environment and most importantly groove will be the focus of his lectures. Stefan is a phenomenal drummer and percussionist that will give master classes in these fields as well as body percussion and groove development sessions.

Rutger has been a touring musician since he was thirteen years old. Along with countless projects in Rock and Pop music, theatre works and cinema he also dives deep into the process of recording and producing. Rutger has been teaching at some of Holland's most renowned creative universities, he is constantly producing and
recording bands and artists of all genres. At UMC he will focus on both guitar skills and techniques as well as professional studio work, music production and recording technique.

Brown has been playing music for more than twenty years, he is bringing a vast stylistic background stretching from Rock and Metal over 60's and 70's Pop and Funk to acoustic singer/songwriter. When he is not touring as lead singer of several projects, he is writing songs, poetry and anything else you can put on paper with a pen. As a multi instrumentalist, he will dive into the process of songwriting with focus
on lyrics and story telling as well as presence and performance when on a stage.

Thomas has been a working musician in both live as well as studio environment for several years. His studies in music and creative industries had him focus on artistic management and artist development, at the moment he is working in marketing and key account management for a big company from Hamburg. As the head of the UMC business department, his lectures will include business strategies, social media and long term planning when developing an artist from a business point of view.

Ivo has been traveling the world as a touring musician and is bringing lots of experience as a studio musician of several projects. A bass player at heart, his musical background stretches from Rock and Indie, mellow Folk and Songwriter to his solo works as "for the love of bass" featuring a vast array of different artists. A 24/7 uncompromising musician, he will give master classes on electric bass guitar and will dive deep into the many layers of songwriting as one of UMC's band coaches.

Louis has been playing the streets from New York to New Zealand, a traveling musician through and through. With years and years of experience with all kinds of audiences, countless fellow musicians and all styles of music he will shed some light on the life of an ever evolving artist. His focus lies on songwriting and performing,
lyrical approaches and vocal technique. Louis is one of UMC's band coaches so be sure to learn a whole set of new tricks about being in a band from this fascinating personality.

The Ural Music Night organizers and representatives of the Friedrich Ebert Foundation created the Potato Boom band in five days.
